Omar Sverisson’s portrait of internationally recognised Icelandic poet Ármann Reynisson. Reynisson was one of the most influential pioneers on the Icelandic financial scene in the nineties before he became a full time writer. He has now published eighteen volumes of vignettes and has introduced a new genre to Icelandic literature. Omar’s Balloon Series was exhibited at the touring Nordic Village exhibition at Pelt Fotofestival 2021 in Belgium.

Description

Ómar Sverrisson (b. 1977) is a freelance photographer and visual artist living and working in Reykjavik, Iceland. His work spans from film design and photographic work for Icelandic music bands to editorial and visual advertising content for a number of newspapers and popular magazines in Denmark and Iceland. Omar Sverisson’s portraits enjoy cult status among the Scandinavian creative scene. Omar has shot fashion icons like Henrik Vibskov to XXX. As street photographer in Reykjavik his reputation is widely respectable.
