What are Limited Edition prints?

Every artwork is produced in a series that’s called an edition. Such an edition contains a specific number per each artwork printed. Limited editions are issued within a certain amount only. Usually, limited art print editions vary between two and several hundreds of prints. Small-scale editions are usually considered more premium, such as our HELPHOTO Limited Editions. As a result, limited edition art prints reach significantly higher prices in the market.

 

What is a Certificate Of Authenticity?

The Certificate of Authenticity is a document that provides all the necessary information concerning the certain piece of art. Such as our certificates include the title, artist name, medium, dimensions, paper, frame and ink type. Also, the number of prints and name of print shop. Each work is signed and numbered with a unique Helphoto Editions label that is supplied separately. It’s usually included in the package when the art print is sent to the purchasing collector.

How are the art prints produced?

Our fine-art laboratory partner produces art prints for private or public exhibition. For limited edition prints we are using museum quality fine art Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308g paper. This fine art paper is of highest quality, provides a rich image characteristic and is extremely resistant to aging, keeping the original structure of archival pigment ink print intact for several hundred years. Our solid wood frames are made at frame workshop in Germany. Frames are equipped with an acid free passe-partout mat. Each art print is protected with UV 70% museum-grade glass.

What are the different kinds of HELPHOTO art editions?

Currently, there are two different types of HELPHOTO art editions. With our Limited Editions, you are acquiring hand-signed, limited edition works by established and emerging visual artists. The first edition is available in 50x40cm, 84,1x118,9 com (DIN A0) and unframed. With our Festival Edition, you will get a collection with festival posters, a post card, #helphoto t-shirt or cotton bag and a limited edition work, hand-signed by established and emerging visual artists.

 

No granting of rights
By buying a photographic print, you are only acquiring material ownership of the art print. No other rights are granted. Any reproduction (copying), dissemination, leasing, public exhibition or other analogue or digital use is not permitted unless authorised by law. However, you can resell the art print(s).

How to design your own photography wall art?

Limited Editions are produced in up to three different sizes in agreement with our artists.

Different frame models are available, both from aluminium and fine woods and can be tailored for your needs for additional fees. Works are available in different sizes and unframed. Contact us for non-standard offers by email.

How to hang and take care of art prints?

We deliver every piece with a pre-installed, professional wall-mount. To ensure the longevity and protection of your artwork, it is best to install art prints away from sources of heat, humidity, sunlight and indoor lighting such as artificial light from bulbs or fluorescent lighting. 

Please consider when cleaning you art works to simply dust the frame and protective glass with a soft rag or fine duster to remove surface dust. Clean glass surface regularly with the proper cleaner. To avoid damage to your art print, do not use soaps or any commercial glass cleaner that contains ammonia or alcohol. Wipe the surface gently with a soft rag and dry with a microfiber cleaning cloth. Do not wet or clean the print directly. With a minimum of care, your framed art print will provide you with a rewarding viewing experience for many years to come.

How much do HELPHOTO art prints cost?

Our Limited Editions start at under €400. Prices may vary depending on the mounting and framing options. As more of a Limited Edition print run is sold, the common practice is that the price and value of the remaining pieces increases.

How to order?

You can place your order, both as a guest or with an customer account. While placing an order, you will have an opportunity to log in, if you already have a customer account with us. If not, you can proceed as a guest by filling out your address. We will use this as your billing and delivery address – if you want to use a different delivery address, you will have the opportunity to do so in the check out profile. After you have completed your online order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

Please observe that the delivery will only start after we have confirmed receipt of your payment both for the art print and the shipping fee.

What are the conditions for discounts?

Generally, collectors, even new collectors, can ask for a discount of 10% available from a basic order value of 5 works in total. Institutions and museums, or private individuals who exhibit their collections to the public, can ask for a discount of 20% depending of the order value. Contact us for offers by email.

What payment methods are accepted?

On helphoto.com, you can pay by credit card, bank transfer or PayPal. To pay with PayPal, simply log in to your PayPal account when prompted to do so, review your order, and approve the payment. Credit card payment is possible with MasterCard, Visa, and many other cards. We use the payment service provider Stripe for credit card payments.

Your online order is secured using modern SSL encryption. This way, we meet the standards for modern online purchases and always guarantee you the securest of transactions.

Can I change or cancel my order?

No. Unfortunately, changing a placed order is not possible. The work is printed only on the customer’s order, so the work has no right of return, referring to the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Section 16, Subsection 3 of Chapter 6).

If you want to order a different art print, simply complete a new order. If you would like to change the work you have ordered, you can cancel your existing order and place a new one. To request a cancellation, please contact us by email. After your order has been successfully reviewed and cancelled you will receive a confirmation email and your purchase will be refunded.

What are the benefits of creating a HELPHOTO customer account?

In your customer account, you can see all of your orders and follow their status. You can save your billing and delivery address there. An account also makes it simple to manage your newsletter subscription – you can be the first to receive updates on our new artwork arrivals, background info about the artists, and many exciting offers!

To create your own customer account, click in the navigation on the person-shaped icon near the top right and register yourself. Select the appropriate checkbox and enter your email address and create a password.

What are the delivery methods we use?

We work with certified shipping partners such as FedEx and the Finnish post. These vary depending on the size of the art you order. For orders with multiple pieces of different sizes, we apply the rate for the largest picture. Please note that a signature is required for all deliveries from HELPHOTO.

In Finland we offer the possibility to locally pick up the purchased works in Helsinki (Uusimaa) upon a scheduled appointment for pickup. To make an appointment contact us by email and we will provide you with further details.

What about shipping and tax?

Delivery takes about 12-20 workdays.

Our standard policy is to ship your art safely in specialty packaging, insured and delivered to the address of your choice. Shipping cost is usually determined by the weight and dimensions of the parcel. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your edition is dispatched.

Handling Fees
For each shipping we charge a handling fee on the top of the order. Art prints are stored, handled, framed and packed by a team of professionals to ensure that you receive your artwork in perfect condition.

Damaged Artwork
If you notice any serious damage to the outside of the package please do not sign for the delivery and contact us immediately. For further information, see our Refund and Return Policy.

Tax
In a nutshell, there are different VAT rules for sales and purchases of artwork within the EU and to or from a third country.

For EU-based private individuals, all prices for are subject to 14% Value Added Tax (VAT) paid to the Finnish state. The VAT is paid by the customer and added to the end price.

For EU-based companies, cross-border VAT isn't charged on exports, but companies require to show their VAT Identification for purpose of the “Reverse VAT”. HelPhoto Productions VAT identification is FI3250508-9.

Outside the EU, VAT isn't charged on exports.

Please note that you will be responsible for any customs or import taxes on international shipments, which are due upon arrival at the destination country.
